What We Do
We do the smaller earth work jobs the Big Boys think aren't worth their while. We have all the tools to carry out;
Residential Work

We prepared the site for a sunken court yard by digging it out, putting up the boxing for retaining walls and pouring the concrete.

Earth has been moved from our trailer into position to make the base for steps leading into the sunken courtyard. Here we are preparing the base for a concrete pour.

The steps into the sunken courtyard have been boxed up. All that is left to do is the concrete pour.

A job well done. The steps have been completed, and now just the courtyard to be poured.

A view of the finished courtyard. There is still landscaping to do - in the background is our trailer and a pile of earth.
Landscaping
Car pad and lawn renewal

Preparation for repairing the lawn and constructing the carpark pad. The plan clearly laid out on a photo of the site.

More planning. The area of lawn to be replaced clearly laid out on a photo of the site.

The old lawn has been removed and the new top soil soil is being spread.

The end product. The old lawn neatly removed and the new top soil in place ready for grass to be sewn.

The new car pad in place with the railway sleepers marking the boundary.

Workmanship: 5/5, Cost: 5/5, Schedule: 5/5, Communications: 5/5, Job cost: $1,300.00, Comment: Dan was great. Great comms, showed up exactly when he said he would, worked hard with great attention to detail, kept the work area clean (during and after) and was good company. Very affordable compared to other quotes. Very happy with finished work. Highly recommended.
Foxton garden

After purchasing a newly renovated house and new garage the home owner had some garden establishment landscaping work done.

The vegetable garden sleepers were retained by driving galvanised pipes through their screw holes into the ground.

A border by the house dug out and planted for a low hedge surround.

A little while later - the established garden border.
Large phoenix palm removal

Phoenix palm tree for removal.

The little digger that can.

Palm down, and the site clean up underway.

Site clean up completed.

The Phoenix palm in my front yard was shading my house from the mid-day sun and my western neighbour all morning, I wanted the tree removed including the stump, and a path behind the tree taken out. Dan achieved this over 4 days including cutting up the waste and removing it and tidying up.
Earth Works

Digging out and removing soil to prepare the ground for a new patio.

Spreading earth. Note that we take care of the surrounds - the driveway is covered with tarpaulins to protect it.

The delicate touch. Rather that have the digger tear up the lawn, we will move earth the old fashioned way. Note again how we protect the lawn with tarpaulins.

The trailer, loaded and ready to go.
Trenching and drainage

Demolition, concrete cutting, concrete breaking
Building Demolition

Building is in poor condition: roof has rusted through and partially collapsed ceiling floor on one side, rot and/or borer in wooden posts.

Building is located between boundary fence and batch with approx. 1.5 m clearance on either side.

Called to discuss job before sending quote. Came over before starting to go over the job. Arranged the time/day to suit our schedule. Showed up promptly when he said he would and stayed until the job was done -though it took nearly 10 hours, he could have come back and charged extra but didn't. Even took a couple of loads of green waste + rubbish we had from clearing the section to the tip. Buildings gone with no unexpected costs.
Concrete cutting and breaking

Concrete saw, hard at work.

Cut section of concrete wall hoisted away.

Ripping up an asphalt covered yard

The grab bucket is a very useful attachment as it can easily help pick up sort and stack up to 200kg items due to its built in thumb. Great for loading out tree bundles of slash or fire wood rings or concrete rubble.
Site and Section clearing and Waste removal
Old man pine

This large and far too close to the house old man pine and was blocking the sun and view, so we took it down and carried out clean up

Old man pine from inside the house - blocking the view and keeping out the sun light.

Old man pine cut down and disappearing down the bank

Old man pine continuing it's journey down the bank

Old man pine with a cable attached ready to be hauled back up the bank, sawn apart and taken away.
